I am trying to install an Areca Arc 1882i RAID card on a new Asus P9X79 Pro motherboard with UEFI and it is not being recognized. Any suggestions. I suspect my problem has to do with some boot sequence since I think the Areca Raid Card is a bootable device. Also maybe I have some problems with not all being FAT 32 which card may require. I am not really sure as I am fairly new at this. Thank you. Sincerely Jeff Carl

I don’t have any experience with that (I haven’t set it up on my machine). Is the Mobo not seeing the device at all? Or just wont boot to it? When you’re in the BIOS (EZ setup screen; the initial one) you should see your bootable devices at the bottom. If it detects an UEFI devices they will show up as an icon that looks like an ipod. If you dont see it then I would say the device isn’t compatible with the mobo. If it is, click and drag it to the front of the device list to make it first in the boot order. Then, you can restart and try to enter the BIOS of the raid card and configure it for booting an HD.
